Vincent van Gogh worked in the end of the 19th century and turned to be one of the most influential artists for the consequent 20th century. Vincents life was full of drama and poverty, and despite the very fact that he did not manage to make his living by selling paintings and totally relied on the help of his brother Theo, Vincent remained a remarkably compassionate person. He believed that art could change humans into better persons, and he also envisioned that his paintings would gain much popularity in the later years, which he did not manage to see.
Vincent made his decision to become an artist when he was nearly 30 years old, and later he died at the age of 37, which was the result of his mental disease that evolved during his artistic activity. Over this little period of time he created all of his world known masterpieces: The Sunflowers, The Night Cafe, The Starry Night, The Sower, and others. All of those can be found in this application.
